Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez Collins who is also known as Antonietta Gonzales-Collins in the US and Mexico, is an American-Mexican sportscaster. Her employer is ESPN and works as a SportsCenter News Anchor. Since 2016, Collins has joined ESPN. She is the child of the journalist on television Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins is bilingual and has been so since when she was nine years old. Her ability in this area has helped her get her first job at Univision, Miami. She worked alongside national producers on shows such as Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. Then, she was hired by the CBS subsidiary in St. Petersburg employed her as a sport reporter. In 2009, she relocated in Rio Grande Valley to work as a journalist at KNVO TV 48 Univision & Fox2 News. Reporters covered issues related to illegal immigration as well as drug trafficking across both Texas and Mexico. The duties of anchoring on sports and weather was often requested. She then anchored and reported for Univision's Dallas affiliate Deportes 23 where she was assigned more responsibility. She reported on events like the Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series, the Dallas Cowboys as well as the NBA Postseason as well as the Finals FC Dallas FC Dallas Stars. Her family relocated into Miami in 1992 following the departure from Mexico. The couple divorced shortly after in 1995. Her mother was remarried to an architect from the naval profession known as Fabio Fajardo who died from kidney cancer in 2006. In June in 2006 she took one week with her sibling at Canton Ohio. The older Collins girl was working there. Antonietta was just graduating from high school but already knew what she was going to do. It was an amazing campus. It also gave her the degree she wanted. When she finished high school, she made the decision to enroll at the university with a major with Media Studies. Mark Bergmann was her professor as well as the director of WRMU and WRMU, which she is a member. They had a very close relationship. Mark's passion for journalism and confidence in herself instilled confidence in her. In turn, she was determined to achieve the standards he set and to not disappoint him.
